Sciatica

Sciatica is nerve pain caused by damage or irritation of the sciatic nerve that originates in the gluteal or buttocks. The sciatic nerve is the longest and thickest nerve in the body. It is actually made up of five nerve roots: two from the lower back called the lumbar spine and three from the end of the spine called the sacrum.
